These brightly coloured aquarelle wax crayons are lovely for drawing on glass and mirrors.  OTs frequently recommend that children write/draw on vertical surfaces for a range of reasons.  These crayons are lovely and make it easy to incorporate this activity in a way that feels fun and non-pressured.  They are definitely a hit in our home and in therapy sessions.

If The Heal Your Gut Cookbook makes the GAPS Intro Diet possible, then this is THE cookbook for Full GAPS.  It is based on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (which is the basis of the GAPS Diet).  It is entitled "Cooking for Celiacs, Colitis, Crohn's and IBS", basically food that is designed to heal and seal your gut lining, but enough about all of that scientific stuff.

What really matters is the food!  This is probably my favourite cookbook because it is visually stunning and the recipes are just mouthwatering.  It contains over 200 recipes and over 100 full-page color photos. Craving a burger and chips? It's here! Ice cream? It's here too!  And so are crackers, sticky date pudding and morrocan chicken tagine... I could go on all day.  It's basically an awesome book.  In my local library there is usually a waiting list of a few months to be able to borrow it (and I used to borrow it all the time before I eventually decided I couldn't live without it!)

Another classic book by Ramiel Nagel.  He certainly doesn't beat around the bush in this book, but he has some very insightful tips into disability and childhood difficulties.  This is a great book for those starting a family and wanting to explore ways to maximise the health of their children.

Sometimes it's a struggle to put into practice the good strategies we've learned.  We all need some encouragement.  Faber and Mazlisch break down the key aspects of being the parent we want to be.

Okay - I'll be totally honest with you here.  I ordered this book from a book list and saw only the title.  And I thought it was perfect, as so many of the children I work with (and live with) have the need for thoughtful and proactive magnesium supplementation.  Then when the book arrived and I saw the cover focused on improving your sex life I have to admit I groaned!  But then I had a good belly laugh... It wasn't quite the slant I was thinking of, but I guess it's an added benefit of making sure your magnesium levels are good!   And the book has actually got some great info in it.
