Crystel Poggioli

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, First Class Honours, University Medal - University of Queensland - 1995
Director of The Whole Child

Crystel loved children long before studying to be an OT. Growing up she was the town babysitter. And as a teenager she became deeply passionate about natural health. These two worlds gradually merged and Crystel would describe herself as an OT with a strong bent towards natural health solutions.

With a broad range of experience behind her including Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, the inclusive education system in Vancouver, Canada, and working in schools and health services from Cardwell to Cooktown, Crystel had a strong foundation from which to establish a thriving private practice.

Crystel’s family life has been the place where she’s been on the steepest learning curve. With 6 children, who’ve all homeschooled and all been raised as naturally as possible, Crystel has found she’s constantly been challenged to learn positive strategies to use in her role as a Mum. This has led her on a lifelong, intense journey of learning and searching for the very best ideas to help with healing and living.

Crystel is a Christian and calls Jesus her “bestie”, with her faith giving her inner strength as well as hope for healing, recovery and the possibility of brighter days ahead. Crystel highly values and respects each family and child, including their own cultural and religious background, and is clear to not push any particular approach or belief onto people.

For fun Crystel loves to go to gym classes, do a sauna, bushwalk, go to the beach or hang out with her family. She is definitely a netball addict so you might also find her coaching, playing or watching netball.
